{Real Bride Series} Sonja

Today we are excited to be kicking off a new segment at Babydoll Weddings, called Real Bride Series! We are featuring our past bridal clients, whom are sharing with us some of their wedding details.

Today we are featuring Sonja! Check out what her choice pics were and her bridal advice:

What were your wedding colors? Malibu & Hot pink

How many bridesmaids did you have? Eight

Where did you find your dress? Was finding the dress a difficult process or relatively easy? Azteca- relatively easy.

Where did your ceremony and reception take place? Sheraton Crescent Resort – ceremony outdoors and reception inside.

What flowers did you choose for your bouquet and throughout the wedding?
In my bouquet I had mini roses, carnations, and feathers. Other flowers: Stargazed calla lilies, orchids, and peacock feathers.

What was the flavor of your cake?
Red velvet with a raspberry filling

Did you provide favors to your guests?
We did provide favors, they were personalized CDs with all of our favorite love songs.

Is there a detail that you had at your wedding that makes it unique?
We did a football theme for some of the pictures, and had the guys wear their favorite college football team hat on with me throwing the football. We did the garter toss with it on a football! We had one of the ring bearers carry a homemade sign “Uncle Rob here comes your girl”. Mariachis performed during dinner. We had a photo booth which the guests loved!

What was your pick for “first dance” with your husband? Is there meaning to the song selection? Willie Hutch – I choose you

Any favorite moments that stand out in the day?
From getting ready with mimosas with all my girls, to finally walking down the aisle. The party continued on all night with great dancing and music!

Did you take a honeymoon? If so where did you go? Maui, Hawaii

What is one piece of advice you will leave for future brides?
Make sure to do your research for vendors and read the reviews on different sites. Anything you can do yourself really does save money and makes it more personalized!

Thank you so much for sharing with us about your day, Sonja! We love your color palette and use of peacock feathers-gorgeous! The football garter toss is a fun twist too!
