{Real Bride Series} Meet Renee!

This month's Real Bride is Renee.

How did you and your groom meet?
We met at a wine festival. Our friends were dating and introduced us.

We are dying to know, how did he propose?!
He proposed at a restaurant that has become very special to us:Bobby's Jazz Lounge in Kierland Commons. This is the location of one of our first dates as a couple and the place where we've celebrated all of our anniversaries while dating.

What were your wedding colors? Did you have an overall theme?
Rosewood and gray, romantic style

How large was your wedding party?
6 bridesmaids, 2 groomsmen

Where did you find your dress? Would you say that finding your dress was a relatively easy or a difficult process?
I found my dress at Second Chance Bridal in Scottsdale. This was the first place I looked for my dress. I bought the 3rd dress I tried on. It was like someone made the dress specifically for me!

Where did your ceremony and reception take place? Was there any special meaning behind the choice of venue(s)?
My ceremony and reception took place at Stonebridge Manor in Mesa.

What kind of flowers did you have in your bouquet and the ceremony/ reception?
My bouquet included a mixture of roses and spray roses with additional filler flowers and were made by Karen of Boka. She did an amazing job creating exactly what I had envisioned

What was the flavor of your wedding cake? Did you have a groom's cake?
We had two cake favors: Classic Vanilla with strawberry filling and Valencia Rum cake. The cake was made by Our Sweet Bakery.

Did you provide favors to your guests? If so, what were they?
Our favors included unlimited 'loot' from the candy buffet.

What details from your wedding that made it unique to you?
I made all if the signage. We still have most of the signs and have strategically placed them around our home as a constant reminder of that wonderful day.

Other than marrying your husband, what was your favorite moment from your wedding day?
My favorite moment was when I walked down the aisle and saw my husband's face light up. We did not do a first look so this was the first time he saw me in my dress.

Did you take a honeymoon? If so, where did you go?
We have not gone on our honeymoon yet but are planning to travel to Europe within the next year.

What is one piece of wisdom you learned from your planning experience that you would like to share with future brides?
Don't sweat the small stuff. Ultimately, it all comes together and the only thing that truly matters is celebrating your union with the people you love most.
