Meet our Real Bride of the month, Tiky! She and her husband had a vibrant wedding celebration with a Mexican Day of the Dead theme.
How did you and your groom meet?
We met online.
We are dying to know, how did he propose?!
At the gondola ride at the Venetian in Las Vegas.
What were your wedding colors? Did you have an overall theme?
Mexican Day of the dead, with very bright colors.
3 bridesmaids and 3 groomsmen.
How large was your wedding party?
Where did you find your dress? Would you say that finding your dress was a relatively easy or a difficult process?
In a bridal boutique in San Diego. It was the third one I tried on.
Where did your ceremony and reception take place? Was there any special meaning behind the choice of venue(s)?
Stonebridge Manor, it was a very beautiful venue.
What kind of flowers did you have in your bouquet and the ceremony/ reception?
For my bouquet I had lots of bright colors and some desert flowers that added texture. I had colorful paper flowers for the reception.
What was the flavor of your wedding cake? Did you have a groom's cake?
The flavor of our cake was red velvet with cream cheese filling.
Did you provide favors to your guests? If so, what were they?
Little day of the dead boxes with colorful M&Ms, my favorite candy!
What details from your wedding that made it unique to you?
Having a Day of the Dead as a wedding theme is pretty unique. I also had a memorial table for those close to us that couldn't join us on our big day.
Other than marrying your husband, what was your favorite moment from your wedding day?
Having friends and family from out of town coming to share that big day with us. Witnessing two different cultures and languages coming together just for us. It was an amazing night!
Did you take a honeymoon? If so, where did you go?
Not yet, but hopefully soon!
What is one piece of wisdom you learned from your planning experience that you would like to share with future brides?
Breathe! Learning that you will never have control of every single thing. It is a stressful process but if we don't breathe and learn to go with the flow we will miss out on this once in a lifetime experience.
Who were some of the other vendors that were a part of your dream team?
